If you are a beginner or are still growing, it might be worth buying a used board to start off. If you are a beginner, it is going to get beat up anyway. Cheap snowboards can be readily found on Ebay and Craigslist, just be sure to cheap out the base and edges carefully. You don’t want to end up with something that has already been trashed.
