The Forum Recon is best suited for park riding and hitting rails. Forum advises that the Recon most likely isn’t the best board to use on groomers. The Forum Recon has a poplar wooden core and a camber profile, allowing a stiff ride and maneuverability control. With a directional twin shape, the Forum Recon is also available in wide sizes. Although Forum doesn’t claim the board has superior specs, it is an ideal budget board where you can get the necessary bang for your buck. Available in many different sizes, the Forum Recon is perfect for anyone, no matter their size, who wants to snowboard without dipping into their savings fund!
Most reviewers of the Forum Recon agree that this board is definitely more of an entry level board, for those who want to make a foray into the snowboarding world. Reviewers state that the Forum Recon is a great entry-level board for the beginner on a budget. Several reviewers stated they were happy with the size of the board and that the board can accomodate a wide foot, we had one rider with a 10.5 foot who had no issues on a 158.
